Nestled in Tokyo’s historic Kuramae neighborhood, Kakimori is a stationery haven that invites visitors to rediscover the pleasure of writing. Established over a decade ago, Kakimori has garnered acclaim for its bespoke writing instruments and personalized services, blending traditional Japanese craftsmanship with modern design.
A Personalized Writing Experience
At Kakimori, customization is at the heart of the experience. Visitors can create tailor-made notebooks by choosing from a diverse array of paper types, covers, and bindings. Your original notebook will be crafted on-site in about 20 minutes. Additionally, the in-house Inkstand offers an interactive experience to blend your own ink color from 17 base tones. You can craft a shade that reflects your personality, memories, or even the mood of your journey.
Thoughtfully Curated Stationery
Beyond customization, Kakimori showcases a curated selection of high-quality stationery items. These include fountain pens, rollerballs, letter papers, and envelopes. Each item is carefully selected to enhance the writing experience and encourage people to enjoy the act of writing in their daily lives.
